Teen Shot Saturday In Delaware County: Police

Authorities said a gun went off among a group of teenagers Saturday morning, and the fired round struck and hurt one of the boys.

UPPER DARBY, PA — A teenager was shot in Delaware County this weekend, and police are investigating the incident.

According to Upper Darby Police, the shooting happened Saturday morning in a property on the 3200 block of Township Line Road.

There, police said, a group of teenage boys fired a gun.

The round struck one of the boys in his hand, police said.

He was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The other teens at the scene of the shooting were being questioned by police as they investigate the incident.

Police said the shooting was isolated and not indicative of a threat to the community.
