Trout Stocking In Delaware County Waterways Starts Feb 28

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is stocking Chester, Ridley, Ithan, Darby, and more creeks starting this month.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Trout anglers in Delaware County will soon have a bounty of fish to reel in, as stocking of the county's waterways begins this month.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced its trout stocking schedule for 2023.

Waterways being stocked are Chester Creek, Darby Creek, Ithan Creek, Ridley Creek, and Little Darby Creek.

The first stockings are Feb. 28 in two locations on Ridley Creek.

This year's trout stock is from a hatchery in Huntsdale, according to the commission.
