Crash Closes Interstate 95 South In Delaware County: State Police

A tractor trailer overturned on Interstate 95 south in Delaware County, closing the entire highway near mile marker 2, state police said.

UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — A portion of Interstate 95 south in Delaware County is closed due to a three-vehicle crash that involved a tractor trailer.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened at about 11:45 a.m. on Interstate 95 south at mile marker 2 in Upper Chichester.

The tractor trailer is overturned and blocking the entire highway, police said.

Fire and hazmat crews are responding to the scene as a precaution.

Some minor injuries were reported, and all drivers involved were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Police said the highway will be completely shut down for some time, and major traffic delays are expected.
