Drugs, Guns Seized In Delco As Part Of Regional Drug Crackdown
Operation Clean Sweep led to 100 arrests, 12 firearms seized, and $365,000 in drugs being confiscated in Delco, Montco, Bucks, and Philly.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA β Delaware County authorities were involved in a major regional drug takedown operation that led to dozens of arrests, firearm seizures, and more than $365,000 in narcotics being confiscated.
"Operation Clean Sweep" β a targeted law enforcement collaboration between authorities in Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks counties and Philadelphia β netted 100 arrests, and 12 illegal firearms seized.
Authorities also said large quantities of fentanyl/heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine/crack cocaine, PCP, oxycodone, suboxone, Xanax, psilocybin mushrooms, codeine, and marijuana were also confiscated.

The "sweep" took place in September and October, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.
Local law enforcement, along with Pennsylvania State Police, targeted illegal drugs coming from the Kensington section of Philadelphia into the three counties.

"In law enforcement, we know that agency collaboration is a force multiplier," Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said. "Iβm thankful for my colleagues DAs Steele and Schorn, as well as Attorney General Sunday and the Philadelphia Police Department, for the incredible collaboration that made βOperation Clean Sweepβ a success."
"Operation Clean Sweep" involved detectives from all three counties and police departments in Upper Darby, Springfield Township, Nether Providence, Bensalem, Lower Southampton, Abington, Cheltenham, Lower Merion, Lower Moreland, Upper Merion, Upper Moreland, and Whitemarsh Township.
