'Foul' Odors In Delco Prompt HAZMAT Response: Officials

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — After dozens of reports of gas or foul odors across Delaware County prompted HAZMAT responses, officials said no chemicals have been found.

Delaware County Emergency Services at about 11 a.m. said it was getting reports of odors in the county.

As of noon, officials said county responders handled more than 40 emergency events for odors of gas and or a foul smell. PECO also responded to the calls.

County officials said HAZMAT Team resources are monitoring air quality, but that no chemicals have been detected in the air.

The odors have been reported in several counties and on both sides of the Delaware River, according to county officials.
