Heat Fan Distribution Beginning In Delaware County Wednesday
With summer here, Delaware County will lay out its 2023 Heat Plan and launch its fan distribution program Wednesday.
EDDYSTONE, PA β Delaware County officials are planning to announce the annual Heat Plan and distribute fans to vulnerable residents Wednesday.
Officials will announce the plan at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the County Office of Services for the Aging in Eddystone.
As we welcome the first day of summer, Delaware County officials want to inform vulnerable
residents β particularly the elderly, the very young, and those with fragile health conditions that several County programs are in place to help them cope with hot weather that can cause dehydration and other health complications.

Cooling fans, home checks on vulnerable residents, a Heat Information Line, and other resources are available to residents.
Fans, including some generously donated by PECO, as part of PECOβs Summer Fan Distribution Program are ready to be delivered to residents in need.

PECOβs Summer Fan Distribution Program donates hundreds of fans each year through local organizations across southeastern Pennsylvania.
Officials will briefly detail the heat plan and then load up the fans for delivery to senior centers.
The County Office of Services for the Aging is at 1510 Chester Pike, Suite 250, in Eddystone.
