Incident Prompts Heavy Police Presence In Delco

Upper Providence Township Police are urging the public to avoid the 100 and 200 blocks of Valley View Road as they respond to an incident.

UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA β€” Heavy police activity in a Delaware County municipality has prompted police to avoid a specific area.

Upper Providence Township Police at about 11:15 a.m. alerted the public to law enforcement activity on the 100 block of Valley View Road in the township.

The nearby Walden School was locked down due to the activity, and residents of Valley View Road were told to stay indoors by about 11:40 a.m. Police said there was no threat to the school.

Then, at 2:50 p.m., police confirmed heavy police activity on the 100 and 200 blocks of Valley View Road.
