Lanes On I-476 Closing Overnight Next Week In Delaware County: PennDOT
PennDOT said an ongoing project to resurface, repair, and improve nearly 17 miles of the interstate will again affect traffic next week.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — More work on Interstate 476 in Delaware County will force lane closures along the highway in Delaware County next week, PennDOT said.
This work will impact portions of the highway overnight next week, Monday through Friday.
Below are details on the traffic impacts due to the work:

- Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of southbound I-476 between the U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and I-95 interchanges for milling and paving.
- Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of northbound I-476 between the I-95 and U.S. 1 interchanges for paving.
- Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on the on-and off-ramps from the U.S. 1 (Lima/Springfield) Interchange (Exit 5) to and from northbound and southbound I-476 for paving and ITS installation.
- Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Baltimore Pike between Turner Road and Paper Mill Road in Nether Providence and Springfield townships for overhead bridge repair.
- Wednesday, Aug. 21, and Thursday, Aug. 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-476 from just south of the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) Interchange to the Media/Swarthmore Interchange for ITS installation.
This work is part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve nearly 17 miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps and bridges from I-76.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
