How do you plan to address the needs of the borough and its residents while keeping taxes low?
Media Borough has successfully provided extraordinary services and opportunities for residents while holding the line on taxes the last several years. I am proud of our staff that focuses on balancing our budget without the need for tax increases while maintaining the level of services our Borough has come to expect. We have an excellent staff that keeps residents top of mind and elected officials who oversee these processes annually.

What are the biggest issues your constituents bring up when discussing life in the borough?
Residents are concerned about maintaining Media's character and traffic/parking issues. During my time on council we have taken steps to focus on these issues. Borough Council approved a new zoning ordinance to help ensure future construction keeps Media's unique character intact. We are also in the process of discussing an update to our residential parking process so residents are able to park within a reasonable distance of their homes. When I assumed the Council Presidency in 2024, I created a Transportation Committee to focus on resident concerns regarding parking and other transportation related issues.
How can the borough work to reduce crime?
Media's Police Department is one of its best assets. During my time on Council we have hired two police chiefs from within as well as fully staffing our police department to a level which keeps residents safe. Our Police do an excellent job at not only de escalating situations, but are regularly present on our streets and are known to community members. Crime is an unfortunate reality, but Media's Police Department is one of the finest in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Do you feel the borough should continue in the direction led by Mayor Bob McMahon for more than 30 years?
Mayor McMahon is a treasure and will leave huge shoes to fill. His decades-long leadership along with former Borough Council leadership gives future mayors and councils a wonderful blueprint to focus on. His legacy includes celebrating the community and being present regularly; developing and cultivating our businesses through regular visits and assiting with development and creative ideas such as Dining Under the Stars; focusing on keeping the Borough safe and welcoming through a strong Police Department; and looking forward to keeping Media ahead of the curve for demographic and societal changes. We are in great shape to continue to lead Media into the future.
What can township leaders do to foster additional small business growth in Media Borough?
I am a big believer in building connections and creative problem solving. Nowhere is this more important than growing business in the Borough. Our Media Business Authority provides regular events and highlights issues that keep Borough Council focused on what is important for all. I'm proud to have brought together our business community leaders and environmentally focused residents to find common ground so all can develop a consensus for the betterment of our community.
