More Pothole Repair Work Planned On Delco Roads Next Week: PennDOT

The region's rapid freeze-thaw cycle​ has caused numerous roads to become deteriorated, thus prompting the pothole repair work from PennDOT.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Pothole repair work will continue on numerous roads in Delaware County next week, according to PennDOT.

As the weather becomes more temperate, maintenance crews are working to address deteriorated roads across the region.

This deterioration is due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.

Below are Delaware County roads being targeted next week:

  • I-95, Upper Chichester and Tinicum townships, and City of Chester.
  • U.S. 1, Springfield and Upper Darby townships, and Media Borough.
  • U.S. 13, City of Chester, Eddystone, Sharon Hill, Glenolden and Norwood boroughs, and Ridley Township.
  • U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway), Upper Chichester Township and City of Chester.
  • Route 3 (West Chester Pike), Haverford, Upper Darby, Marple, and Edgmont townships.
  • Route 291, Tinicum and Ridley townships, and Eddystone Borough.
  • Baltimore Pike, Middletown Township.
  • Barren Road, Middletown Township.
  • Bryn Mawr Avenue, Radnor Township.
  • Calcon Hook Road, Darby Township.
  • Chelsea Road, Bethel Township.
  • Chichester Avenue, Chichester Township.
  • Darby Road, Newtown Township.
  • Elwyn Road, Media Borough.
  • Engle Street, Chester Township.
  • Hook Road, Darby Township.
  • King of Prussia Road, Radnor Township.
  • Lawerence Road, Haverford Township.
  • Lenni Road, Media Borough.
  • Manoa Road, Haverford Township.
  • Marple Road, Marple Township.
  • Ridge Road, Chadds Ford Township.

Drivers are advised of travel restrictions and possible slowdowns next week when driving near work crews patching potholes.
