Rose Tree Summer Festival’s 50th Season is Still Rocking!
Delco's free outdoor concert series runs for three more weeks.

Delaware County Parks & Recreation reminds residents that there’s still plenty of time left to enjoy the enchanting sights and sounds of summer nights. The 50th annual Rose Tree Summer Festival runs for three more weeks, offering up fifteen more opportunities to enjoy spectacular entertainment under the stars.
From orchestras to blues bands, the entertainment changes nightly and offers something for everyone. Eclectic music lovers may enjoy the irresistible jams of Jamison Celtic Rock (7/23) one night, the spicy sounds of New Orleans Fish Fry (8/1) on another, then round it out with rootsy Reggae Thunder (8/6).
The award-winning concert series in Rose Tree Park runs through August 10, on Wednesday through Sunday evenings, at 7:30 PM. Admission and parking are free. The audience should bring blankets or chairs for seating and may bring their own provisions or partake of Rita’s concession stand.

Families are encouraged to bring their little ones out for a whimsical evening with children’s entertainers Lolly Hopwood & Friends, on Wednesday, July 30. (As a bonus, the playground next to the amphitheater will remain open during that show!)
Rock & Pop fans recommend the tribute shows, which are back by popular demand: Van Halen Nation (7/26), Mysterious Ways (7/31), and The Core: Clapton (8/3); dance party divas do not want to miss The Discoteks (7/27), and those who were disappointed by last year’s rainout of Barry Harris get a second chance to see the rising star from Glenolden.

The Summer Festival culminates with a grand slam weekend, featuring a powerhouse lineup: Del’s Groove (8/8), the premiere modern party band; Barbershop’s Best (8/9); and Six-String Soldiers (8/10). Barbershop’s Best brings together three elite choruses - Bryn Mawr Mainliners, the Valley Forge Chorus, and the Atlantic Harmony Brigade - for an exclusive a cappella extravaganza. The Six-String Soldiers, a country ensemble from the U.S. Army Field Band, is the most followed military music group in the world.
Schedules are available in Rose Tree Park, County buildings and libraries, and online. Leashed, friendly dogs may accompany guests in the hilltop and outermost seating areas; pets are prohibited within the amphitheater. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited, and the playground closes ten minutes before showtime. If desired, bug spray should be applied prior to entering.
Handicapped parking is available. The concerts are weather permitting, no rain dates. To check for a cancellation message, call 610-891-4455.
