SEPTA Train Catches Fire Thursday In Delaware County

About 350 people had to be evacuated from Wilmington-Newark Regional Rail Line train early Thursday evening in Delaware County.

RIDLEY PARK, PA — A SEPTA train caught fire Thursday night in Delaware County, according to authorities.

Delaware County Emergency Services said the fire broke out at about 6:30 p.m. The National Transportation Safety Board has sent a team to investigate the fire, officials said.

According to Fox 29, passengers on the Wilmington-Newark Regional Rail Line train started smelling smoke between Norwood and Ridley Park.
