7-Vehicle Crash In Delco Sends 5 To Hospital: Police

PROSPECT PARK, PA — Five people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning in Delaware County, according to authorities and reports.

Prospect Park Police Chief Dave Madonna at about 10:20 a.m. said Chester Pike was closed between Summit Avenue and Amosland Road due to a "serious accident" with entrapment.

Madonna later said seven vehicles were involved in the crash.

Action News reports a Corvette in that area was speeding and driving erratically, which caused the crash by striking an oncoming vehicle.

Police are investigating the crash.
