
The National Weather Service says that there is the potential for hazardous weather Saturday throughout the region.
A storm is expected to roll into the area late Saturday morning, forecasters say, with some areas predicted to see new snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.
As Saturday progresses, forecasters say that the snow will change to sleet and then rain by Saturday evening.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the area between 7 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday, according to the NWS.
The weather is expected to clear up and and warm up at the start of next week.
