Two of a Kind: Cohort 66 Twins Take on LPN Journey Together

In honor of National Siblings Day, DCIU highlights twins Emily and Paige, thriving together in the Practical Nursing Program.

Twins Emily and Paige are proving that being born with a built-in study buddy and support system makes all the difference. The duo embarked on their pathway toward becoming LPNs in September 2024 with Cohort 66, united by a shared passion for helping others.

“Going through the program with my sister is amazing! I have my biggest supporter as my classroom partner and it makes things so much easier. We study together, encourage one another and are able to hold each other accountable, if need be,” said Emily.

“I enrolled in the program because I love healthcare. I’ve worked in the field for years now, and when I was looking for schools, my coworker recommended this program,” added Paige.

Emily and Paige both have a strong healthcare background, having previously worked at Penn Medicine. Throughout their time in the program, they’ve found the most rewarding aspect to be the hands-on experience they've gained in the simulation lab and through their clinical rotations.

Upon completing the program, the twins plan to enroll in a RN program and continue advancing their nursing education to its fullest potential.

“Nothing can compare to having your best friend go through the program with you. The connection makes the flow of things so much easier,” added Emily.
