White Dog Cafe Glen Mills & Penns Woods Winery Hosting Red Wine Dinner

Featuring the Debut of a New White Dog Cafe Red Wine by Penns Woods and a Currated Menu

White Dog Cafe Glen Mills is giving you something to wine about!

White Dog Cafe, located at 981 Baltimore Pike in Glen Mills, and Penns Woods Winery are hosting a White Dog Red Release Dinner, celebrating a new vintage of red wine created exclusively for the five area White Dog Cafe locations.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, beginning at 6 PM. Guests will enjoy five wines by Penns Woods, including the red created specifically for White Dog Cafe. Executive Chef Mike Selser and Fearless Restaurants Culinary Director Albert Alvarado curated the menu for the tasting around the new blend and the other featured wines of Penns Woods that demonstrate their house style and their ability to channel Pennsylvania terroir.

The evening starts with a welcome wine, Penns Woods Blanc de Blancs Sparkling NV, followed by the first course featuring Penns Woods Chardonnay Reserve 2023 paired with a warm brie tart, with shallot jam and thyme. The second course includes Penns Woods Rosé 2023 and roasted beets with whipped Goat Cheese, pistachio, and pink peppercorn vinaigrette and mint. Penns Woods Pinot Noir 2021 is paired with the third course of Verlasso Salmon with wild mushroom farro and a cherry-pinot gastrique. The White Dog Red 2023 is paired with a Black Rock Farm Strip Steak in a White Dog Red Reduction, served with a truffle potato for the fourth course, and the evening concludes with espresso and chocolates.

“This is our most recent collaboration with Penns Woods Winery. Every year, the blend changes a little based on the vintage,” Fearless Restaurants Beverage Director Thomas Stevens said, adding, “This year we wanted to lean into the Cabernet Franc in the blend, so this wine is a Bordeaux-Style Cabernet Franc Blend.”

Stevens visited the winery multiple times over the past year to determine how to assemble the final blend for the White Dog Cafe red.
