Borough Man Allegedly Withdraws $560 from Mother's Checking Account Without Approval

A borough man was arrested Monday for allegedly withdrawing $560 from his mother’s checking account without her consent at the at 33 S. Broad St. on Nov. 27, according to .
According to police, the mother, Mel Gyulai, reported on Monday that her KNBT checking account was accessed on Nov. 27 and that $560 was withdrawn without her permission.
After police, bank employees and Gyulai investigated bank records and video surveillance, according to court papers, Gyulai immediately identified her son, Colin Gyulai, 20, of 135 S. Whitfield St., as the man withdrawing the money from the bank’s ATM machine.

He was charged with accessing a device issued to another who did not have authorized use and was sent to Northampton County Prison under $2,000 straight bail.
