Bushkill Township Woman Pleads Guilty to Embezzling from Dealership

Anne Difrancesco faces up to 17 years in prison for embezzling more than $800,000 from a Lower Nazareth Township car dealership.

A Bushkill Township woman on Wednesday admitted to embezzling $852,852 from her employer, Star Pontiac-Buick-GMC in , over a seven-year period, according to a report in The Morning Call.

Anne Difrancesco, 34, of the 200 block of Daniels Road  after allegedly using 20 company checks and taking $102,924.65 over the course of one year from the dealership, according to .

A more extensive audit by the dealership, however, revealed she apparently had been forging checks since 2005.

In exchange for pleading guilty to forgery and theft by deception, according to a WFMZ-TV report, authorities agreed to drop a charge of receiving stolen property.

She will be sentenced by Northampton County Judge Emil Giordano on Sept. 21.
