Christmas Tree Disposal Dates for the Nazareth Area

Nazareth has curbside collection, while Upper Nazareth and Lower Nazareth townships offer drop-off locations.

Nazareth

Christmas trees will be collected at curbside on:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 28
  • Wednesday, Jan. 4
  • Wednesday, Jan. 11

All tinsel, garland and ornaments must be removed from the trees.

Upper Nazareth Township

Christmas tree drop-off will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 27 and will run through at least mid-January. No end date has been set.

There are two drop-off locations this year:

  • At the township's maintenance building at 155 Friedenstahl Ave., across the street from
  • At the township's second maintenance building at 3151 Daniels Road.

Trees may be dropped off anytime.

Lower Nazareth Township

Trees will be accepted at 4600 Newburg Road from Jan. 3 to Jan. 14.

Christmas Tree Recycling Program hours are:

  • Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (By appointment only)
  • Saturdays, Jan. 7 and 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (No appointment necessary)

Appointments:

  • Appointments can be made by calling (484) 239-2534.
  • Appointments must be made and confirmed one business day prior to drop off.
  • When leaving a voicemail, leave your name, address and phone number. A staff member will return your call to confirm your appointment.

There will be no drop-off in the event of a snow or ice storm.

Lower Nazareth residents may also dispose of their Christmas trees at the First Regional Compost Authority facility at 6701 Weaversville Road, Allen Township.

Winter hours are:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon

All tinsel, garland and ornaments must be removed from the trees.
