Brian Asquith, 20, is charged with forgery, tampering with evidence and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to police, officers were called to the Kohl's in Lower Nazareth after Asquith allegedly tried to use a phony $100 bill. Police say they discovered two more bills, as well as a baggie of marijuana, on Asquith after he was arrested.
Court records say two other nearby businesses—Subway and Petsmart—told police Asquith had used fake bills at their stores as well.
While in the back of a police cruiser, Asquith allegedly tried to hide the bills under his seat cushion.
He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Richard Yetter in Wilson and sent to Northampton County Prison after failing to post $15,000 bail.
