Expect Delays During Three-Day Christian Springs Road Project

Weather permitting, the three-day project near Nazareth Speedway is expected to start on Monday, July 23, and be completed by Wednesday, July 25.

Commuters are being urged to avoid Christian Springs Road -- in the area of the Nazareth Speedway -- early next week during the installation of a cross-pipe.

Weather permitting, the three-day project is expected to start on Monday, July 23, and should be completed by Wednesday, July 25.

This work is being done in anticipation of the reconstruction of the Christian Springs Road cart way, according to Timm Tenges, manager of Lower Nazareth Township.

"We will work to minimize those delays," Tenges said. "We recommend motorists avoid the area if at all possible."

In April 2011, about went before the township's when faced with a $6,300 bill to hook up to a new sewer line being constructed as part of the Trio Farms development.

A deal was eventually struck between the township and the Nazareth Municipal Sewer Authority that would allow residents the option -- instead of the requirement -- to hook up.
