Freeze Warning Issued for Early Friday

Nazareth Patch residents should protect outdoor plants and tender vegetation if possible.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Northampton County, effective Friday, March 30 from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Some areas could see temperatures drop to the upper-20s overnight, according to the warning. And due to an unusually warm winter and early spring, trees and flowers that have already bloomed could suffer damage.

"Any vegetation susceptible to freezing temperatures over a period of three or more hours would be at risk," the weather service said in its statement.
