Letter to the Editor: A Thank You from Camp Invention

A total of 67 local elementary school students joined over 76,000 students nationwide in exciting hands-on STEM activities at Nazareth Area Intermediate School this summer.

Dear Editor:

I would like to thank the Nazareth Area School District for hosting the Camp Invention program this summer. Camp Invention is tackling our country's innovation deficit by encouraging exploration and curiosity in our youth and developing 21st century learning skills such as creativity, teamwork and critical thinking.

A total of 67 local elementary school students joined over 76,000 students nationwide in exciting hands-on STEM activities at . They were challenged to solve a variety of problems using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts that they learned throughout the week.

I especially want to thank camp director, Ann Marie Vaughn, her talented local teaching staff and counselors, and the creative students in the Nazareth area for their exceptional work.
