Man Hit with Soda Can, Breaks Nose and Teeth, Police Say
A man arguing with his mother in a church parking lot ended up with a broken nose and teeth when another man threw an unopened can of Mountain Dew at him, Bushkill Township police say.

Bushkill Township police say a Wind Gap man ended an argument between a mother and son by throwing an unopened soda can into the son's face.
Guy Murphy II, 20, of the 300 block of Fairview Avenue, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and harassment.
According to court records, police were called to Bushkill United Methodist Church Saturday afternoon—the church's Easter Egg Hunt started at noon—to respond to a fight.

They found a man who said he'd been attacked by Murphy.
Police say the man was arguing with his mother in the church parking lot when Murphy came out and intervened by throwing the 16-ounce can of Mountain Dew Kickstart at the man's face, breaking his nose and knocking out three teeth. The blow knocked the man to the ground, and Murphy hit him while he was down, police said. Murphy had left the church by the time police arrived.

The man later picked Murphy from a photo lineup.
A woman on the scene told police the man that he had "gotten what he deserved" because he was cursing at his mom, court records say.
Murphy was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Corpora in Easton and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
