Nazareth Eagle Scout Is A Local Star Student
He's 'an amazing teammate, a diligent performer and a reliable member of every club and organization that he joins.'

Nazareth, Pennsylvania — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Gretchen Vakiener who nominated Logan of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Logan has a huge heart and shares his enthusiasm for life with many people through his participation in sports, arts, Scouting, volunteering, and school clubs and activities. He isn't the "star" athlete or first chair in band. He never became the Senior Patrol Leader or the editor of the paper, but Logan is an amazing teammate, a diligent performer and a reliable member of every club and organization that he joins.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Logan is working on an Eagle Scout project that will renovate the grandstand in the local park. It combines his love of baseball with the highest rank in Boy Scouts. He has completed approximately half of his project and has raised over $2,500 and coordinated over 100 hours of volunteer work thus far.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Logan Vakiener!
