Nazareth Memorial Library to Conduct Online Survey

The online survey will be conducted between Sept. 12 and Oct. 3, will be available in English or Spanish, and will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

will be conducting an online survey to determine how its patrons are utilizing the library’s computers and Internet connection, and how these services have made a difference in its patrons’ lives. 

The survey will be conducted between Sept. 12 and Oct. 3, according to a press release, and can be accessed from the library’s computers or at www.nazarethlibrary.org.

The survey will be anonymous, will be available in English and Spanish, and will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

The information collected "will help the library improve its technology services and communicate the value of providing free access to computers and the Internet within the community,” the press release states.

This most recent survey is an extension of the U.S. IMPACT Study, which was conducted in 2009 according to the release, and “was the first large-scale investigation of the ways library patrons use computers and the Internet at public libraries, why they use it, and how it affects their lives.”

The main goal is to help “public libraries throughout the U.S. improve access services and advocate for better support of public access computing.”

The IMPACT Survey is coordinated by the University of Washington with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
