Nazareth School Board President Loses Bid for Re-Election
Board president is out, incumbent and newcomer are in, according to unofficial primary returns.
Nazareth School Board president lost his re-election bid in Tuesday’s primary as incumbent and newcomer both won the Democratic and Republican nominations, according to unofficial results.
With the Republican and Democratic nominations under their belt for two open seats, Butz and Miller are virtually assured a win in the November election.
Bradley, a four-year member of the board, came in at 366 total votes (166 Democratic, 200 Republican), and , the 18-year-old set to graduate from  next month, came in at 235 (99 Democratic and 136 Republican). There were three write-in votes.

Currently in his eighth year on the board, Butz got 700 total votes (342 Democratic and 358 Republican). Butz has more than 38 years of experience in education and was principal at before retiring in 2003.
Miller, the newcomer, was a history teacher in the Bethlehem School District from 1967 to 1999 and is a licensed Realtor. Miller got 525 total votes (219 Democratic and 306 Republican).
