Police Warn Residents of Phone Scam

would like to warn residents about a phone scam that has hit at least one Lower Nazareth Township resident.

According to police, an unknown man called the resident, whom police did not identify, and claimed to be his nephew.

The man said he was in a Mexico jail and needed $4,000 for bail.

After the resident questioned the caller -- he does not have a nephew -- the caller hung up.
