Registration Open for DiscoverE Programs at Jacobsburg

Registration is now open for two DiscoverE summer programs -- "Insect Investigators" and "Birds, Blooms and Butterflies" -- at .

Pre-registration is required and will be limited to 15 children. Openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to register, call the park office at (610) 746-2801.

DiscoverE encourages children to learn more about the world by getting them outdoors to Explore, Experience and Enjoy the opportunities in our state parks, according to a press release. Activities include crafts, games, stories and guided walks.

Insect Investigators

• July 31 to Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to noon
• Cost: $5 per child

Outdoor Explorers ages 6 to 8 are invited to investigate the lives of insects in a variety of habitats. Our explorations will take us through the fields, forests and streams of Jacobsburg. We will even create our own insect to take home.

Birds, Blooms and Butterflies

• Aug. 8 to 10, 9 a.m. to noon
• Cost: $5 per child

Penn’s Adventurers ages 9 to 12 will explore the world of birds, flowers and butterflies at Jacobsburg. See birds and butterflies up close and personal!  Learn how you can build a habitat for wildlife in your own back yard.
