Rios Brazilian Steak House to Hold Eating Competition

Will you be crowned "Rios King of BBQ?"

The staff at in Nazareth would like to know:

“Do you have what it takes to down an entire skewer of our world famous rump steak?”

According to an event flier, no one could accomplish the feat the last time around, so the local steak house, which is , is allowing anyone who is daring enough to give it another try.

The eating competition will run in conjunction with the restaurant’s “,” which will be held tomorrow, July 10.

Registration begins at 4pm for those vying for the title of “Rios King of BBQ,” and the entrance fee is $30. Winner takes all.

The competition will start around 4:30 p.m.

Even if you'd rather not take on the 30-inch skewer -- about six pounds worth of barbecued meat -- spectators are welcome.

Food and drink specials will be held throughout the day, and live music, courtesy of Mike Mizwinski, will begin at 4pm.

Rios Brazilian Steak House is at 127 S. Broad St. in Nazareth. Doors open at noon and close at 10pm.
