Samurai Sword-Wielding Man was Drunk, Police Say
Chad Hunter, 34, of Upper Nazareth Township, had a blood-alcohol content of .29 percent when he allegedly threatened a group of men with a samurai sword.
An Upper Nazareth Township man was jailed Saturday night after he allegedly threatened a group of men at his home with a samurai sword.
Chad Hunter, 34, of 23 W. 5th St., is charged with terroristic threats, possessing a prohibited or offensive weapon, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
According to court records, police were dispatched to Hunter's home Saturday around 10:19 p.m. due to reports of a drunken man threatening people.

Police say Hunter had been carrying a samurai sword and telling a group of men at his house, "I will take them all out."
A breath test by police showed his alcohol level was .29 percent, police said.

Hunter was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Daniel Corpora of Easton and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
