Supposed Ambush Vehicle Spotted in Nazareth; Schools Lock Down

Police learned the vehicle was not connected to the State Trooper Ambush; the lock down was quickly lifted.

Nazareth schools were locked down for 20 minutes this morning as police checked a vehicle that was supposedly connected to last Friday’s State Trooper ambush.

Local and state police were alerted to the vehicle’s presence but quickly found that it had nothing to do with Eric Matthew Frein, who is being charged with the death and injury in the ambush.

The vehicle was spotted near Nazareth Area High School, which was quickly placed on lock down. Nazareth Area Middle School, Shafer Elementary School, and Holy Family School also locked down.
