Where the Crawdads Sing (Page to Screen Series)

Our monthly Page to Screen series is a partnership between the Newtown Theatre and the Newtown Bookshop. Each film in the series is based on a bestselling or beloved book. At the end of each movie, one lucky winner will go home with the book on which that night’s movie is based.

Abandoned by her family, Kya Clark grows up alone in the marshes of North Carolina and becomes known as the “Marsh Girl.” When a local man is found dead, Kya’s isolation makes her the prime suspect in a gripping tale of survival, love and prejudice.
