1 Killed Along SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown Line, Service Resumes
The regional rail line was shut down for hours on Thursday morning.

One person was killed on SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown line Thursday morning after they were struck by a train, according to officials and media reports. The line was fully shut down following the incident, but resumed running by around noon.
It occurred just before 8 a.m. Thursday near the Wissahickon Station, between East Falls and Manayunk.
NBC Philadelphia and KYW reported that the victim was a man and that he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

SEPTA initially said in a statement that the line would remain "suspended until further notice." Service remained suspended for around three hours.
"Inbound train #2313 is on the move with delays of up to 40 minutes following earlier police activity on the line," SEPTA announced at around noon.

Police were seen in the area of Wissahickon Station in the hours following the crash. Exact circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
