Major Retailer To Overhaul To Some Montco Stores
Shopping at these Montgomery County Walmarts may be a bit different this year.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Two Montgomery County Walmarts are among hundreds around the country that will see an extensive remodel over the coming months, the company announced Wednesday.
The West Norriton Walmart, on 650 S. Trooper Road, and the Pottstown Walmart, on 233 Shoemaker Road, are the two impacted locations.
Some 650 locations nationwide will be refurbished, including a total of 26 in Pennsylvania.

The overhaul to the Montgomery County stores will include a "refreshed" look, increased merchandise selection, expanded online pickup and delivery services and significant changes to store pharmacies including private screening rooms, wider aisles, and private checkout areas.
There will also be larger signage, new displays, and expanded selection of items.

"Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in, and these remodels are a testament to our dedication to enhancing that role,” Annie Walker, senior vice president, east business unit at Walmart, said in a statement.
While there are 159 Walmarts in Pennsylvania, only 26 are getting the refurbishments now. The company did not detail a plan for the cosmetic future of the other establishments.
