A Busy Weekend Ahead in Norristown Community Events

Take a look at some of the events that will be held this weekend.

Looking to do something fun and community-oriented this weekend? Read on.

Lock-In Part 2:
 Hosted by Norristown PAL, boys between the ages of 10 and 17 can participate in a lock-in on Friday, June 28, at 9 p.m., which ends the following morning at 9 a.m.

The 12-hour event features a fun filled agenda, food, snacks and drinks. The event is sponsored by Norristown Club United, One Love Club, Wade Bodi Auto Club, WATTS, and Parents that Care and Learn through Play.

The Norristown Project: Members of the Norristown Project will engage in a cleanup of East Moore Street, beginning at the intersection of East Moore and Arch streets on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Anything with a Plug Recycling Day: The Municipality of Norristown will offer residents the opportunity to dispose of their unwanted electronic devices for free at Borough Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 29.
This service is available to all residents and small business with less than 50 employees. (Note: Air conditioning units, refrigerators, projection televisions and other large appliances will not be accepted)

Lilianna's Lemonade Stand:
A lemonade stand will be held at the corner of Locust and Brown streets on Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all proceeds going to the ACPPA Community Art Center.
Should it rain, the event will be held at the same time on Sunday, June 30.

Christian Community Baptist Church Hosting a Youth Day: On Sunday June 30, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., performances are planned by youth gospel choirs, poets, rappers and youth praise dancers. 
Food and parents are welcome to attend.
