The first installment takes a look at some of the statistics and features converations with school district officials and local authorities. According to The Herald, there were 95 fights at (NAHS) last year, compared with three at Methacton High and six fights at Upper Merion. So far this year, there have been 15 fights reported at NAHS, two at Methacton and three at Upper Merion.

According to NAHS School Resource Officer Bill Sheppard, fights can erupt from almost any situation.

“Many times they are random acts," Sheppard told The Herald. "A bump in the hallway, two girls fighting over one boy or two boys fighting over one girl, someone moving a milk bottle.”
