KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A massive interactive entertainment concept, featuring "social gaming," drinks, food, and more is coming to the King of Prussia Mall.
Level99, which has become popular in New England and Washington D.C. in recent years, will cover some 46,000 square feet within the mall.
An opening date for what the company called an "adult playground" has not yet been announced.

In the tradition of social gaming enterprises like Dave and Busters and escape rooms, Level99 is nonetheless very different, branding itself as a "first-of-its-kind destination for adults" with more than 50 physical and mental challenges that can be completed in teams or as individuals.

In one of their more popular experiences, called Axe Run, players race across a narrow beam while dodging swinging axes, with the goal of hitting a finish button as quickly as possible without stepping off course. The company says it tests speed, focus, and agility.
There are also challenges designed explicitly for "duel" mode, where one person competes against another. Other challenges focus on the brain and require problem or puzzle-solving.
“Level99 goes beyond your conventional entertainment venue—it’s a place to play, explore, and actively connect,” Matt DuPlessie, Founder & CEO of Level99, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to introduce King of Prussia guests to a social gaming experience unlike anything else in the market.”
Level 99 also features a bar and a full service restaurant with options for shareable plates and local craft beers.
