Ah's Garage Sale Owner Facing Criminal Charges

Ahram Lee, of Schwenksville, is being charged with multiple counts of receiving stolen property, trademark counterfeiting and related charges.

According to reports from the , 29-year-old Ahram Lee, of Schwenksville, is being charged with trademark counterfeiting, possession of copying devices and six counts of receiving stolen property stemming from multiple incidents in which victims reported locating stolen items at .

On Sept. 13, a victim reported to Upper Merion Police that his Garmen Nuvi Model 300 GPS device. On Sept. 17, another victim reported a police scanner, an AM/FM radio and four antique car models stolen from his apartment on Walnut Street. The victim later contacted police and informed officers that he had found some of the stolen items at Ah's Garage Sale.

On Oct. 10, a Philadelphia woman called Norristown police to report that a bicycle which had been stolen from her residence had been sold by Ah's Garage Sale even after she had contact them to inform them that the bike was hers. After reporting the bike stolen to Philadelphia police, the victim found the bike listed by Ah's Garage Sale on Craig's List. She contacted Lee at 4:45pm to confirm the bike's presence and inform him that it was stolen. Lee contacted her an hour later to report that the bike had just been sold.

During a (one that resulted in the store being closed for code violations), officers recovered the aforementioned stolen GPS device and the antique car models. Lee had neglected to document the purchase of the items as is required by Pennsylvania law. Lee did have documentation for the purchase of the stolen bicycle.

In addition to the stolen items, officers managed to locate and identify 135 DVDs which were determined to be pirated, fraudulent copies complete with fraudulent artwork and packaging. The DVDs were being displayed for sale.

According to court records, Lee faced charges of receiving stolen property in 2008 and was sentenced to complete Pennsylvania's Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program to repay the victims.
