In celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday, the group known as Occupy Norristown is collecting food to be donated to one or more local Norristown families affiliated with .
They will be collecting non-perishable food items Saturday, Nov. 19, at a rally on the steps of the , between noon and 3 p.m. The group's general assembly will begin at 3 p.m.
loosely affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street protests. The group is aimed at calling attention to what they see as both corporations' and government's inability to adequately address the problems facing the country.
