Annual Kids' Fair At Elmwood Park Zoo Scheduled For Early August

NORRISTOWN, PA — Youngsters looking to get up close and personal with some wild animals are invited to participate in an annual program hosted at the Elmwood Park Zoo by a local state legislator.
The office of State Sen. Amanda Cappelletti, a Democrat representing the 17th Senatorial District in Montgomery and Delaware Counties, announced Friday that the annual Kids' Fair at the Norristown-based zoo would take place on Aug. 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event is being billed as a free night out for families and children who reside within the 17th Senatorial District, which encompasses nine municipalities in Montgomery County and Radnor and Haverford Townships in Delaware County.
The program will give children and their parents a chance to explore the Elmwood Park Zoo, watch live dance performances, and learn about resources available to area constituents.

There is also going to be a free ready-for-school backpack giveaway while supplies last, the senator's office stated.
This is the second year that the Kids' Fair has taken place.
