AOH Kicks Off Annual Irish Festival Today

The local Ancient Order of Hibernians' Irish Festival takes over St. Michael's Picnic Grounds Monte Clare this weekend.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Noter Dame Division in Swedesburg is inviting the community to come celebrate their inner Irish at the annual AOH Irish Festival being held this Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3 at St. Michael's Picnic Grounds in Monte Clare, Pa. The fun starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and the gates open at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival features live music, Irish dancing, bagpipers, games, family-friendly fun and lots of food and refreshments, including $2 pints all weekend long. (Coolers will not be permitted on the festival grounds.)

Tickets are $5 on Friday night, $7 for the day on Saturday and Sunday or $15 for the whole weekend. Children under 12 are admitted free. No one under 18 will be admitted without an adult. All proceeds go to benefit AOH charities.
