Beloved Via's Pizza Returns To Norristown

A longtime favorite eatery has opened its doors once again in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A longtime beloved area eatery has opened its doors once again in Norristown.

Via's Pizza has opened up shop in their new digs on 1803 Markley Street.

The original location of the local's favorite shut down some 11 years ago, with promises from owners that they would be back. They fulfilled those promises last week.

The post announcing the reopening garnered some two thousand "likes" on Facebook, and hundreds turned out for a very busy first day in business.

The family that owns Via traces their roots to the same block of Markley Street, where they opened their first Montgomery County restaurant 51 years ago.

Founded in 1973, Via was previously headquartered on Markley, but moved their "Via Veneto" shop to 2688 Dekalb Pike in East Norriton years back. Now they have two eateries.

Via's is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
