Bill Konstant Resigns from Elmwood Park Zoo
Konstant, the zoo's executive director, is resigning to help build of an international conservation funding program.

The Board of Director's of the announced last week that Bill Konstant, the zoo's executive director, is resigning and an extensive search for his replacement is underway.
Konstant has served as the zoo's director since 2009 and will remain in place until his replacement can be found.
Cherifa Howarth, president of the zoo's board of directors said they will be launching a national search for a new director.

"The search committee plans to conduct a thorough search to identify an accomplished professional with strategic vision and the ability to execute a tactical plan,” said Howarth in a story in the . “We expect to find a dynamic leader who will help us continue our mission of conservation through education."
