Bomb Threat Interrupts Arkoosh's Swearing-In

Authorities are investigating a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the Montgomery County Courthouse Thursday morning.

The threat, which was called around 8:30 a.m., caused the building to be cleared out for nearly two hours. The Intelligencer reports no bombs or explosives were located and employees returned to the building at 10:30 a.m.

The threat disrupted the swearing in of Montgomery County’s new commissioner, Valerie Arkoosh, according to NBC10. The news network reported the swearing in ceremony was relocated to the Commissioners boardroom on the 8th floor of One Montgomery Plaza.

It is the second time in three months that a bomb threat has been reported at the courthouse, The Philadelphia Inquirer said. Sheriff Russell J. Bono told the Inquirer that two calls were made to law enforcement regarding the threat.
