Boy Scouts Retire Old Flags

Scouts from Cub Pack 13 and Boy Scout Troop 752 spent last Saturday formally retiring damaged American flags in a ceremony at Montgomery Cemetery.

Prior to the ceremony, members of Troop 752, from Norristown; Troop 50, from Schwenksville; and Troop 100, from Philadelphia, spent the day cleaning .

Each scout received a specialized patch for their participation in the ceremony. Fifteen scouts have previously achieved the rank of Eagle Scout for their efforts during the flag retirement ceremony.
