Council Bids Farewell to Bill Procyson

Outgoing Councilman-at-Large William Procyson was ushered out of office with honors at Tuesday's council reorganization meeting.

Council members past and present, residents and even Pa. state Rep. Matthew Bradford took turns honoring Councilman-at-Large William "Bill" Procyson Tuesday night as Procyson prepared to leave office to make way for incoming Councilman-at-Large Dwayne Royster.

Procyson was heralded by several speakers for his tireless work in the last nine years as a mentor to fellow office holders and aspiring politicians, an advocate of environmental issues and for making Norristown a better place for all of its residents.

Procyson received no less than four proclamations from municipal, county and state-wide office holders Tuesday night.
