County Honors Bob Graf for 40 Years of Public Service

Chief Clerk Robert Graf was honored for his dedication and hard work by the commissioners and other county officials at today's Board of Commissioners meeting.

Before business got under way at today's Montgomery County Board of Commissioners meeting, a short ceremony was held to honor Robert W. Graf, the board's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clerk.

Graf has worked in Montgomery county for 40 years and according to those in attendance at today's meeting, is widely held to be one of the most respected men in county government today. Graf was given a proclamation recognizing his contribution to the county.

Also honored today was 24-year-old Upper Gwynedd firefighter Brandon Hertzog. Hertzog responded with his department to a fire at the Penn Brooke Gardens apartments on the evening of Sept. 4, and entered the burning building to search for residents who might be trapped. Hertzog found an unconscious and unresponsive woman, carried her from the scene and then returned to continue searching for more victims.
