Deck Your House and You Could Win $100,000 for Norristown Schools

How would you like to give $100,000 to Norristown school children this holiday? How's that for a gift?

You can make that happen – all you need is a little holiday spirit, a little elbow grease and a lot of lights.

Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best decorated home this holiday. The winner’s school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached.

Here’s how it works: Today through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site. You and your neighbors will be able to vote for your favorite home. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge who will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 they can use to pay their December electric bill.

From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8, you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patchland. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.

So get out the lights and ladders and fire up your competitive holiday spirit! Whether you go sophisticated, silly, or full-on Griswold style, we want you to dress up your house in the name of good cheer and our kids. At the very least, Norristown will be decked out like it’s never been before. And if we win, what better gift could we give to Norristown's kids?
