Dog Attacks Man Inside Bar In Norristown: Reports

The owner of the bar had asked the man and his dog to leave just before the attack.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The owner of a bar in Norristown was attacked by a dog after he asked the dog's owner to take his pet outside, according to video from the scene and multiple news sources.

The incident occurred inside Colletti's Town Tavern, on 345 W. Marshall St, back on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The dog owner, a regular customer, was asked to leave when he brought his pitbull inside, Fox 29 reports. The outlet indicates the customer had tried to bring the pitbull inside on multiple other occasions.

That's when the dog got aggressive and bit the owner several times, 6ABC reports.

It's not yet clear what led to the attack, though the family of the bar owner says the dog's owner is responsible for not preventing it.

Police were called to the scene and are still investigating, but no arrests have yet been made.

The owner was hospitalized after the attack and is now at home recovering, reports state.
